LUCILLE LONDON.png

A rare enamel pocket watch pendant dating to circa 1880-1900, crafted in 14-carat yellow gold with vibrant enamel on one side depicting a dove in flight over a sunset sky with thistles below.

In Victorian jewelry, such symbolic motifs conveyed personal sentiments or messages. This depiction of a dove flying over thistles symbolizes peace, protection, love, and fidelity, expressing the hope that the recipient will overcome challenges and find tranquility.

Swiss-made, this open-face keyless cylinder presentation pocket watch boasts deep purple metallic hands that shimmer with hues of purple as they catch the light.

To open each side of the case, locate the area with a slightly larger lip and slide your nail underneath gently until it clicks open. The watch side is stiffer to open than the enamel side and should primarily be done for inspection (neither side of the case needs to be opened for setting or winding).

To wind, twist the crown anti-clockwise. To set the time, push the button on the case near the crown and wind the crown clockwise.

This exceptional pocket watch is in excellent condition, with minimal signs of wear to the enamel and interior, all consistent with its age. The bottom of the artwork shows a small area of enamel loss where the gold behind the enamel shows through, blending seamlessly with the image and remaining unnoticeable unless closely inspected. Currently in working order, it keeps time accurately (we recommend one full wind every 24 hours while in use).

We recommend wearing this exquisite piece on its own chain or layer to prevent it from knocking against other pieces in a necklace stack, preserving its pristine condition.

This dream piece is a must-have for any antique jewelry collector.
