This stunning high-carat gold padlock dates to the early 20th Century, circa 1920s.

Testing between 14ct-15ct gold on a professional laser machine, the gold colour is a beautiful subtle yellow gold typical of antique 14/15ct gold, that pairs well with higher carats and other gold colours.

Featuring a striking opal on one side with a beautiful play of colour, boasting flashes of yellow, blue, orange and purple.

On the other side, the padlock key is held in the lock, designed not to be removed.  Turn the key all the way to the left to unlock the padlock, and to close simply push the hinged catch down until it clicks back in place.
